Phillip and Tamara Feldman:
Building a home is one of the most important investments most people make. Moreover, most people are first time home-builders. When we decided to build our dream home, there were several major factors we had to consider – location, cost and who our builder would be. After researching the community of professional builders in Mobile, we decided to work with Jim Williams Construction.
There were two reasons for this decision. First, like many folks we looked at the home market with the intent to purchase an already existing home. Whenever we found a house we really liked, we asked who the builder was. More often than not the answer was Jim Williams Construction. The realtor we worked with routinely pointed out the high quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail evident in this company’s work.
Finally, after a few months of searching the housing inventory in Mobile, we decided to build a home. We interviewed a few builders and they all had good reputations. But the deciding factor fur us (remember I said there were two) was that when we interviewed John Williams we felt a sense of basic trust with him and with his company. John listened patiently to our ideas and reviewed the materials we brought to him that gave him an overview of the style of home we wanted to build. He laid out for us in detail a business plan, a construction timeline, and a plan of action that convinced us that he was knowledgeable and fair.
As I look back on the months that John worked with Tamara and me, I think about the many details that we faced and the hundreds of decisions we had to make. John and his team guided us through the process while still leaving the decision making to us. We’ll admit, however, most of the time we took John’s advice.
I think that the bottom line in our home building experience with Jim Williams Construction is that he brought the house in on time and right on budget. We felt that we were treated fairly and that the house reflected our personal high standards of quality workmanship.
Would we work with John in the future or recommend him to you as a builder? Absolutely! |
